                                                        Iron can fuse just fine into other elements, however, until iron, the fusion process produces energy, with iron and heavier elements it takes more energy to fuse than the process produces. In a nuclear reactor fission and fusion take place, that is why plutonium and other elements heavier than uranium are produced.

                                                                                  By far the most mind-blowing fact in this video is that an object dropped at 1m height from the surface of the star would accelerate to 7.2M km/h. That’s just absolutely unfathomable! To put that speed into perspective.. Imagine an object traveling from New York City to Shanghai in under 6 seconds!! I actually had to rewind the video and hear that part again just to be sure I heard/saw that figure correctly.

                                                                                        I am so disappointed. You failed to address the question you based the entire video on: "... How can something like this even exist" Fact is a naked neutron has a life expectancy of about fifteen minutes. There is no theory which avoids this, there is no method suggested of extending this. There is no reason to expect this can be ignored. The Neutron Star is a fancy pants theory to be sure, but nothing in all of reality suggests its remotely possible. In fifteen minutes the thing rips itself to pieces and the bang would be seen across the universe.

                                                                                                    A neutron star is a burned out star that has collapse into a core that is so dense only neutrons from its atoms remain nothing else no protons or electrons. There are no atoms in a neutron core. This core of a giant star is collapsed into a dense spinning core a billionth its original size. A thimble full of a neutron star would way more than all the cars in the world. Gravity is so strong that light can't excape.

                                                                                                              that kind of depends on what do you mean by certainty, because just to say one single thing about any object so far away we need to make a big assumption, which is that the rules of nature are the same everywhere in the universe; once we assume that we can start talking about the properties of stars and stuff. We can learn about how the universe works studying the stuff around us, that gives us the "rules and blueprints" that everything follows to be able to exist, then we take a look at those blueprints and see which situations they allow that can produce the stuff we observe on those far away places, then we choose the most likely scenarios and try to disprove all of them, the ones which are harder to disprove are the ones accepted and used, until we find something better to replace it. It is like a game of sudoku, sometimes you cannot complete the game without making assumptions, and overtime those assumptions either start making sense and lead you to victory or there's a contradiction and you have to revisit them until you find the error and fix it. Now, in other words, based on what we know about the universe, those assumptions made for neutron stars are incredibly accurate if they are true, and it is completely ok to believe in them, however they can also be completely false, and the true could be a thousand times crazier than our current theories; But that "if they were incorrect" falls into the field of philosophy, because even if we know it is totally possible we are wrong, from all we know about the universe we have the current best explanation of what neutron stars are and how they behave, so we don't have anything to prove we are wrong for now; And since we do not have anything yet to prove we are wrong, talking about those theories being wrong "triggers" one of the philosophical "razors" we use to avoid pointless discussions, which is " If something cannot be settled by experiment or observation, then it is not worthy of debate.". So TLDR: Right now those are the best explanations we have about what are and how Neutron Stars behave, those explanations do not interfere with any of our current theories of how our universe works, and they are possible to happen based on what we know about our universe. And while we could be completely wrong, refuting the current theories without having anything to back up your claims is so useless in regards of anything that it is not even worthy to discuss it. Extra thought: While it is not worth to believe we are wrong with nothing to back up our thoughts, it is completely fine and we should have in mind that our theories can be wrong so, if we ever find something that disproves them, we need to study it to fix our knowledge instead of shrug it off as an error.

It's a hypothesis made on the basis of an assumption that gravitational theory in the current standard model is right. Because our observation in the Universe contradicts that theory and says it wrong. What does mainstream Physik do, if observations contradict that model? Ye! They just invent something and go on as nothing happened. Breaking Occam's razor - once, and breaking Popper criteria - two. It's not even a scientific theory, to begin with, you can not propose existing of some imaginable substance just because you need it to be right. Science doesn't work that way.
