In the world of math, many strange results are possible when we change the rules. But there’s one rule that most of us have been warned not to break: don’t divide by zero. How can the simple combination of an everyday number and a basic operation cause such problems?

I 0

0 = Infinity this way:

0 - 5 = -5

-5 = -3 + -2

-3 X -2 = 6

6 / 2 = 3

3 x 3 = 9

9 - 4 = 5

5 x 4 = 20

20 / 2 = 10

10 x 10 =100

etc... to infinity and beyond!!!

Why does no one acknowledges that (0+ininity)+(0+infinity)=0+0x2infinty . This also makes sense because we defined infinity as a "number"

TED-Ed I just want to ask,when I tried 0 divided 0 in calculator,the result is ERROR. Why?

The voice is super annoying

10÷0=0 because you have 10 aples and ten divoded by 0 baskets because you cant put 10 aples in baskets because you not have were to put

10÷0= ?

Logicly,something(10 in this case),divided by nothing(0)is still 10..Nothing is dividing the number..Wtf?

This is the logical answer.. i guess..

@Winter Sonata

Exactly,if that works of course..

So youre saying that the calculation is canceled because there is nothing to divide right?

@Winter Sonata

No,if a number is divided by nothing it is not divided,it is still that number, get it?

let see here, 0 represents nothing so any possible number in this world divide by 0 is invalid , get it?

Don't y'all understand!??!

Anything divided by 0 is infinity. That's true.

THIS IS JUST A MATHEMATICAL *ILLUSION.* Answer is infinity because it says that it's still searching for a number which is the largest. And such a number doesn't exist. Therefore, it's an illusion.

So, the universe is a creation of natural math. And the equation is,

0 ÷ 0 = infinity(universe)

Hence, the universe is also an ILLUSION.

so you mean that earth is flat?

For the last time ZERO HAS NO VALUE

NO VALUE

Me: it's 3AM and i gotta sleep

Youtube recommendation:

i told my math teacher 0/0=0 because that made sense, and he said-.....no..

_"WHY WOULD THEY CHANGE MATH???"_

What happens if i divide 0 by 0 on my pc please tell me the truth

Maybe.. Quantum physics

We can to divide by zero , but this is not school program

If u convert it to word problem it makes more sense, ex: You have 10 apples and u want to give 2 apple per person how many people are u sharing with? Answer is 5. Now instead of 2 apple per person, we say 0 apple per person, you would be sharing with no one because you are not interested in sharing. If you have 0 apples and would still want to share 2 apple per person it's still 0 because u want to share but you dont have apples

this is how GER works guys

Make it simple. You have 10 chairs but nobody came to your birthday even you . How do you make a division ?

Zero is nothing.. Ur not mad nor happy.. Zero.........

The multiplicative inverse of ten is one-tenth.

Dividing by smaller and smaller numbers give you bigger and bigger answers.

√-1=i opening up a new mathematical world with wonder. So, one equals two. So infinity is NOT a number. Division by zero tends towards infinity.

"A new number....called 'i'"

soo blackholes just divide reality by zero

How many times must we add two together to make ten.

The rules are, don't divide by zero. Why not?

✔-1 = i

If multiplication is just repeated addition, then division is just repeated subtractions. With that logic in mind, 4*0=0+0+0+0=0.

But if you make it into division, you get an endless loop because 4/0=4-0-0-0-0-0-0-0-0... because it's impossible to subtract a number by zero, making it impossible logically to divide by zero.

It’s a mistake to say that (-1)^1/2 = i

This is more impossible

What is 0 / 0 + 1 - 4 x 10

True or false?

1:15 or how many slices of pizza should one eat to equally divide along everyone else.

The Story For Another Day always interests me more than the current topic.

This hurts my brain.

This proves math stands for mental abuse to humans

. Let me explain what 10$/0$ means. It means that you want to give away 10$ from your pocket By subtracting 0$ multiple times. It means how many times you need to take away zero dollars from your pocket so you won't have 10$ any more. Answer not defined. Even if you keep subtracting 0$ infinity numbers of time. The remain money will always be the same. It is impossible to give away 10$ by dividing it by 0.

Lets take an other example 10$/5$.

It Means how many times you can subtract 5$ from 10$ so the remain money will be 0.lets calculate it. pocket =10$-5$=5$ first time. Pocket =5$-5$=0$ second time. The result 10/5=2 (only two times)

So a/b means how many time you need to keep Subtracting B from A so that the final result of subtraction will equal to 0.

It’s simple, imagine you have one chocolate and you divide it by 0 people, what do you get?

You get 1 that is if you don’t give a chocolate to anyone it’s only one

Such a lazy voice so disturbing

What if 0 divided by 0 =0

zer + 0 = zer0

My brain..

0/0=0!!!

because my teacher said so

I program python to get 1÷0 and yeah its crash

3:48 "so, one equals two." *uhhh okay?*

What if 0 × ∞ = ∞ because ∞ × a number exceeds all else?

0/0 is basically any number that isn’t infinite.

10÷0=inf

Pamiętaj cholero nie dziel przez zero

What does that green diagram in middle represent at 4:30?

A day in the life of a daft mathematician:

Mathematician - What's 1 divided by 0?

Boss - You're fired.
